Pre laser instructions:

  • Area must be clean and the hair shaved 24-48 hours prior to treatment.
  • No recent waxing or plucking in the area for at least 3-4 weeks.
  • The area cannot be freshly tanned or sunburned.
  • No recent use of self-tanning products on the area.
  • No recent use of retinol, glycolic, alpha hydroxy acids, chemical peels, acne products for at least 7 days prior to the treatment
  • If you are taking any photosensitive medications like Doxycycline or Accutane please call the office. Certain medications and supplements are contraindicated with laser procedures.

Post laser instructions:

  • Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 14 days post-treatment. Apply (SPF 30+) daily.
  • Stay away from hot baths, saunas, and steam rooms for at least 48 hours.
  • Refrain from using abrasive scrubs, exfoliants, retinol, or scented lotions for a few days after the treatment.
  • Avoid picking at the skin or scratching any crusting, as this can lead to scarring or infection.
  • If you must shower, use cool or lukewarm water.
  • Limit strenuous exercise for 48 hours to avoid sweating.
  • If you experience redness or swelling, a cool cloth or cold compress can provide relief, but avoid applying ice directly to the skin.
